OCEANS-X exposes live maritime data as APIs. What sets this apart from a standard integration is the AI agent in the middle — it reasons over those tools through the Model Context Protocol, turning a plain-English request into the right sequence of calls. Each use case above is a different endpoint of the same chain.

chatPort is a prototype that explores what becomes possible when the OCEANS-X platform is connected to AI agents through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It started as a way to ask about vessel movements in plain English, and grew into a small set of references for how the same data can power live maps and streamline port clearance.
