Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 July 2026

1. About this service

chatPort is a prototype and early research preview that demonstrates how AI can work with Singapore maritime data through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). By using chatPort, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Not a production service

chatPort is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. It is a demonstration — it may change, contain errors, be interrupted, or be withdrawn at any time without notice.

3. AI-generated content

Responses from the AI Chat Assistant and the Vessel Map assistant are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on them for operational, navigational, commercial, legal, or safety-critical decisions. Always verify important information against authoritative sources.

4. Data shown is illustrative

Maritime information displayed here may be sampled, simulated, delayed, or drawn from the OCEANS-X platform, and is not an authoritative or official record. It is provided to demonstrate the concept only.

5. Acceptable use

When using chatPort, please do not:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service;
  • scrape, harvest, or extract data at scale, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data; or
  • submit other people’s personal data without a proper basis to do so.

6. Intellectual property

The chatPort name, design, and original content are owned by their author. “OCEANS-X”, “Mapbox”, “Anthropic”, “Claude”, and other names and marks are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification only.

7. Third-party services

chatPort relies on third-party services — including OCEANS-X, Mapbox, and Anthropic. Your use of features powered by them is also subject to those providers’ own terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author of chatPort will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this prototype.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of chatPort after a change means you accept the updated terms.
